A message from Ms. Heath...
In the many interviews I do every year, with parents who are considering transferring their children to Beacon Heights , it is always fun to describe the many learning experiences that are available in such a tremendous school community! Beacon Heights takes pride in being a diverse community with a broader range of variation than might typically be found in other Utah schools. We have 19 different languages of origin spoken among our families which is primarily due to serving families from the International Student Housing at the University of Utah.
Food Drive - Uof U vs BYU
We are collecting food and other non-perishable items. Contest will run from Tuesday, November 17 to Tuesday, November 24.

Pennies for Peace
Breaking News!!!!!! Beacon Heights donated a grand total of $504.14 for 'Pennies for Peace'. Thanks to everyone!
Beacon Heights is participating in a national program called 'Pennies for Peace'. Moved by the kindness of a small Pakistani village that nursed him back to health after a failed attempt to climb K-2, Greg Mortenson promised to reutrn and build a school. He has now spent the past 15 years building more than 78 schools in this remote area of the world, promoting literacy and peace.
'Pennies for Peace' was initiated by kids who wanted to help Greg make a difference in the lives of children halfway around the world, one penny at a time. By working together, kids can bring hope and education opportunities to young people in Pakistan and Afghanistan, promoting the creation of global peace.
We will have a 'Pennies for Peace' jar in every room, for students to contribute their pennies until Oct. 30th. Click here to go to the official Website.
Yearbooks
Orders need to be in by November 25th, so don't delay!
Don't forget to purchase a dazzling full color yearbook for your child this year. Only $15.00 each. Order forms are available in the front office. Just ask Maggie! Also, we would love to include any pictures that you may have taken of the students. Please put them on a disk and leave them in the yearbook mailbox by the faculty lounge. Thank you!
